Once you have installed Sync and successfully run the Setup Wizard, it's time to setup some Tables to synchronize. There are three ways to upload or create new Tables in Sync
1. From the Explorer Window's New Table Wizard
2. By dragging vector layers from ArcMap or Windows Explorer to the Sync drag target window
3. By using the Sync command line tools (beta note - not available in this beta)
New Table Wizard
Open the main Sync Explorer window by double clicking on the Sync icon in the task bar or by right clicking and showing the main context menu.

Once open, click on the New Table button at the top

The New Table Wizard allows you to create a Table using three different methods:
1. Manually create the table, fields and field domains
2. Import from an existing vector datasource
3. Import using existing online ArcGIS Server REST services as a template

Manually Create the Table
Select the 1st option on the first page of the wizard and click Next.

Give your table a descriptive name and select the type of Geometry that it will store (Point, Line or Polygon)

Add as many fields as you need for this table. You can optionally assign Coded Value or Range Domains for each of your fields. A Domain simply defines valid values for a field but more importantly, in many of the applications that use this information (ArcMap, ArcGIS.com, ArcGIS for iOS etc), the user will be presented a dropdown that includes only the valid field values. This can be a tremendous help when collecting data in the field.
For CodedValue Domains, enter a comma delimited list of values. For a Range Domain, enter valid numeric minimum and maximum values.

Once you've added all of your fields click on the "Create" button and the wizard will close. In the Explorer Window, a new entry in the table's view will display your newly created table. It takes a few seconds for Sync to create the table on the provider and upload all default information. When it's complete (table status says "Idle") you can click on the table to change it's advanced options (renderer, symbols, labels, time info etc)

Import Schema from ArcGIS Server
Select the 3rd option on the first page of the wizard and click Next.

Choose one of the preset templates that point at existing ArcGIS Servers. You can also change the textbox to point at any other 9.3-10.0 ArcGIS Server MapServer/FeatureServer you want. FeatureServer layers provide more information and are better to use over MapServer layers

Once you have selected a server to import, you can optionally give the Map a new name or each created Table a prefix value. For instance, if you are importing the City 311 service for several towns, you may want to add the town name as a prefix value so you can easily tell them apart later on.
Dragging Files
You can drag any vector file (shapefiles etc) directly from Windows Explorer onto the Arc2Earth Sync drop target window. When a windows drag operation starts and the mouse gets close to the Sync Icon in the Task Bar, the drop target window will appear. Simply drop the files on it and the upload process will begin the background. Currently, you can only upload Shapefiles (*.shp) using this method from Windows Explorer. If you drag a layer from ArcMap, you can upload any type of vector featureclass that supports simple features (points, lines, polygons). This data can be from the local file system, a network resource or from an enterprise DB like SDE
